My mother’s paternal grandparents both were born/baptized in Bourney.
James Campbell was born/baptized 9 May, 1867 in Ballyfolin to Edward Campbell, a labourer, and Margaret (Peggy) Kilbreedy/Kilbready. Edward & Margaret were married on 7 August, 1864 in the Church of Clonakenny by Father Francis Cleary. The witnesses were Patrick Meara and Elizabeth Maher. Edward, whose father was farmer Michael Campbell, was from Cooraganeen, and Margaret, 25, whose father Bartholomew was a tailor, was a servant from Asmere. (Ashmere House?)
Mary Aughney was born/baptized on 5 September, 1868 in Dromard to Andrew Aughney, a farmer, and Elizabeth (Betty) Morrissey. They had lived at both #1 & #19 Dromard Beg.
Would like to know where Ballyfolin is/was. Andrew Aughney & Elizabeth Morrissey were from where?
Is there any more information on Michael Campbell and Bartholemew Kilbready and their families?
Thank you so much.
