This parish is in the region of Slieveardagh situated 2.5 miles from New Birmingham holding a population of 2271 people. This place is located near the vicinity of Kilkenny and the land is primarly bog with some tree branches scattered in the area.
Back in the 19th century the land and parish costs ﾣ5120 where households and the upperclass afforded this costs.
