My Great Great Grandfather was John Shortis brother of Michael, he married a Joanna Leonard in 1862. His father Patricks parents were James Shortis born 1774 and Johanna Cahill. I do not know when they married.

Yes I have a Kathleen Baker  living in Melbourne who is  my mothers cousin. Will need to go through my records to see where i obtained my info but I am sure it was from an Irish web site  some time ago.

I have Patrick's birth 1792 that states the same parents as you mentioned, but I don't have Patrick's father born in 1774.

Birth 09 Jun 1828 in Cahir, County Tipperary, Ireland

Death 12 Jan 1896 in Owosso, Shiawassee, Michigan, USA

Her parents were:  PATRICK SHORTIS & JOHANNA ROARK,  This Johanna married Edmond Morony, and her sister CATHERINE SHORTIS married Patrick Morony (brother to Edmond Morony).
