I am looking for any information on a sister and brother: Ann Cleary (my great-great-grandmother) and her brother Maurice Cleary.  The following is a direct quote from the 'Boston Pilot' newspaper under 'Looking for Friends and Family' in 1855.  'Of Maurice Cleary, of Kildaroon, parish Cloheen, Co Tipperary, who was last heard from 5 years ago in Dedham, Mass, USA.  Information recieved by his sister - Address Ann Cleary, Menasha, Wisconsin, USA'. I don't know if the parish would be Cloneen or Clogheen.  I tried the parish of Clogheen too but the link is closed.

By 1855 my Ann Cleary was married (abt 1850) to Thomas Burke ( I haven't been able to find out where in Ireland he was from) and they were living in Menasha, Winnebago, Wisconsin.  Ann Cleary's DOB - abt 1825 , DOD - 22 Oct 1877  but a lot of the dates in the cemetary are questionable.  Thomas Burke DOB abt 1809 - DOD death 4 Oct 1907. His  death certificate lists him as 98 years old. They lived in several different areas of Winnebago County, Wisconsinin the early 1850's buying land and settling in Poygan, Winnebago, Wisconsin in the late 1850's.  They raised their family here and are buried here.

Ann and Thomas had 9 children. Mary Ann - 1851, Thomas Jr - 1853 ( my great-grandfather), Ellen 1855, John- 1858, Bridget - 1859, Edward - 1860, Jane - 1863, Margaret - 1865 and Elizabeth - 1866.

Thomas Burke Jr married Ellen Kelly in 1878.  Ellen's parents were Edward Kelly - Co Roscommon and Bridget Murray - Co Galway.  Thomas and Ellen 's son was Edward Burke and his son was Raymond Burke ( my Dad) and my maiden name was  Shanley Burke.

Any information or records would be appreciated .  Thanks. Shanley
