Daniel Fermoyle Lynch was born in October 1847 in Nenagh. His Father was John Lynch and his Mother was Mary Ellen Fermoyle. He had a brother Tom Lynch. It appears that all four family members immigrated to the United States between 1863 - 1866. John died at sea. In 1870 Daniel is living with Patrick Lynch and his family in Syracuse New York. He ultimately married Patrick Lynch's daughter Ellen. Patrick was born in Ireland, his daughter Ellen was born in America. I would be thrilled to find out more about my family line.

Hi Bridget,
You should check for more information in the land records called the Tithe Applotment Books (1823-38) and the later Griffith's Valuation (1848-64). Griffith's is freely available online here www.askaboutireland.com You should be able to find Joh and Mary Ellen in the records.
Do you know any information about the date or ship they emigrated on or what port they landed at?
You might also be able to find more information about John and Mary Ellen from church records. You could try contacting the parish priest in Nenagh if you knew their birth dates. Baptismal records for Nenagh start from 1792 so you are quite lucky.

You could try contacting the local Genealogical Centre www.tipperarynorth.ie/genealogy - they have extensive records for all of North Tipperary and only charge a small fee for research work.
