Hello all I am looking for info on my great grand father Joseph Raffety born 1874 in Sixmilecross County Tyrone I have a possible imigration year as 1898. His wife's name was Sarah Cunningham born1872 in County Donegal. Not sure what year they married and if it was in Ireland or in Philadelphia PA USA where they raised their children. If anyon has any info please contact me thank you.

Have you had a look on rootsireland.ie for any details about the family? There are 12 baptism records for a Joseph Raffety between 1872 and 1876. As it is a subscription site I am limited in what I can see. I don?t any mention of the marriage of Joseph and Sarah in the Civil Marriage Index on irishgenealogy.ie. You can search this latter site for the birth details of Sarah and Joseph also. Have a look at the above sites and let me know what you think.

I am Robert Watt born near Pomeroy in Co. Tyrone, in 1941.
my mother was Hannah Trimble born in the same area in 1916.
In 1861 Robert Trimble ( born in 1835 at Pomeroy ) married Mary Ann Rafferty ( born in 1836 ) .
