Dear Peter
Many thanks for your query.
Omagh, Co. Tyrone is in the Civil Parish of Drumragh. The link below shows gives you an indication of where this is in relation to other parishes in that area.
The Church of Ireland records for Drumrath begin in 1800, while in Tuam they start in 1808. As you have this information and a date span around which you can search, it would be of interest to you to search for their records at www.familysearch.org or www.rootsireland.ie (the latter is a subscription site). Do you have any information about where Alexander died? If he lived in Tuam he may well have died there, though he seems to have moved around the country, possibly as part of his work. There is, as you say, an Alexander Stewart listed in Tuam in the 1911 Census. Alexander?s occupation was recorded as ?Mason?.

The link below to St. Mary?s, Tuam may also be of interest to you.

Best of luck with your search and Happy St. Patrick?s Day

Dear Peter
Thanks for your email with additional information. Knocknahorn is in the Civil Parish of Dromore:
Church of Ireland Parish records for that parish are lost while RC records begin in 1835. I would try the searches suggested above for Alexander. If however, he was born in Dromore those Church of Ireland records are not available.
Best wishes
Clare
