I am trying to find the family ancestry of my great grandfather Hugh McVey who emmigrated to the USA in 1872. I believe he came from the North of Ireland as he was a mill worker all his life.....I know he was born in 1859 according to the census records in the USA....he was the son of Hugh McVey and Martha Henry....he had two siblings that I know of ...sister Delia born in 1862 and brother Andrew born in 1870.....all of these siblings came to the USA to the state of Massachusetts but I recently found through the Catholic Registers recently released that a family by the name of McVey with husband Hugh and wife Martha was from Tamnadeese Parish in the district of Magherafelt Co Derry....
I hope this additional information will help ...I want to find birth records for Hugh, Delia and Andrew and any other siblings ...thanks for any help
