Is the science of great height is known to be a seaside resort for the public and also a fishing place for them too. The location of the region is close to the shores of south county Waterford near the Cork border. The population stands at 330 people but when tourists come from abroad and particularly in Europe there can be rapid change in that given number of people each and every year.

This townland or parish name was founded by Saint Declan who lived in the vicinty dating back to the 4th and 5th century which would be pre - historic in most respects.

Traditionally as every town was founded, Saint patrick would have visited the area back in 600 AD on a rough estimation.
