Drumcannon
This parish is in the barony of Middlethird and is situated on the high road from Waterford to Tramore and that town would be the post town of the parish. It contains 4835 people (Tramore).
The bay of Tramore or the beach is 1000 acres long, known to people as the Back Strand. The area stretches from Newtown to Brownstown Head. A wall seals the land from the beach but there is entrances for the public to access the place during the summer period.
In 1809 the church was built and its a very small structure but construction may go ahead by a proposal from locals which may happen in the near future.
R.C. Divisions forms head of a union of Tramore.
