I was wondering if you could tell me if Richard Grace and Janet McDonald married in Trinity Without Church, also if they had any children Baptised there. The time frame would be from about 1840 to 1860

Roots Ireland which is a subscription site has an 1843 marriage for a Richard Grace in the Trinity Without RC church. The spouse name was not Janet but Eleanor. There were at least 7 baptismal records for Grace children of Richard and Eleanor.

Is it possible that Janet was Eleanor?

Later this summer the National Library of Ireland plans to place all RC parish registers online for free searching.

    Let me know.

  • Roger, I couldn't say for certain, I am following leads at the moment.

I am trying to find the parents of Margaret Grace who married Frederick Butler on 27th August 1875, they were married in St John's Parish.

Margaret was born in about 1855/6 and was possibly Baptised in Trinity Without Church.

If you are able to assist me in any way it would be greatly appreciated

Roots has an 1855 baptismal record for a Margaret Grace in the Trinity Without RC records. The father was Richard. The first name of the mother was Grace and I'm wondering if a mistake was made moving the surname into the given name field. I think it would help to look at the register for Trinity Without to determine for sure.

FYI. The civil marriage record would only show the names of the fathers of the bride and grrom.
