My great great grandfather, Philip Browner, who was a steward at Oaklands and originally from Palace East, is buried in the old cemetery in Ballyanne. I visited the grave 15 years ago and saw the head stone - large upright with only his name - but on a recent visit could not find it. I now understand that there are at least 2 Browner headstones in this graveyard, this one and another erected by the same Philip Browner in memory of his father John Browner, 2 brothers and a sister. I wonder if anybody locally might know where these 2 graves are located - I am hoping to visit again before Christmas. Any help appreciated. Liam

PS I wonder whether there are any Browner or Browner connections still living in the parish. I know of Kennedys in Ross who are related - thats my family

  • Liam are you on Facebook? There is page called County Wexford History & Genealogy. If you join that you may find some relations or some locals who might point you in the right direction. We are restricted in providing assistance on living people but you can put it out there and see what happens.
