Grandfather Michael Tierney 1873 (Shankill) Married Elizabeth Kearney (Bray) brother John married Hannah. their parents John Tierney married a Catherine Knockter /Noctor? 1837. Believe there might be Tierney family still living in Shankill & found some through this site . Thank You.
Michael was buried in St. Marnock's Portmarnock with Son, John, daughter Alice & my Grand Uncle Jack Kearney, there is no records/photo's of iron cross in this Closed Graveyard.

Hi Rita,
I think I may be able to help you with yor search. My name is Darragh Tierney, my father is John Tierney whos great grandparnents are John and Hannah Tierney. My Father a his brother and sister were born in the house in Shankill as was his father. As far as we know the house has always been lived in my Tierneys as is reputed to be the second oldest in shankill.

Well did make contact with Tierney from the Rathmichael Parish which was great but had the same info as me, as it's such a small family but still no records of this Graveyard where my Grandfather Michael Tierney is buried with his son John and daughter Alice & their uncle Jack Kearney. Thanks
