I am looking for any information anyone may have on my McDonald ancestors.  My great grandfather, Thomas McDonald, was born on Sept 18, 1867 in Wexford Ireland.  He was the son of Murtha McDonald and Elizabeth Dean.  I know he had several siblings including James, Susan (believe that are several others).  I believe Susan was born in 1865 and James in 1876.  James and Thomas came to USA and settled in western New York.  Thomas married Julia Burke in 1895 in Lackawanna, NY.  I have had no luck in narrowing down the area of Wexford they are from, all I know is he listed Wexford as his residence on his application for naturalization.  I have not been able to find anything about Murtha - the name was on Thomas death certificate and I am not sure I am reading it correctly.  Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I looked on www.familysearch.org and found this baptismal index record for a Mary Anne McDonald born in December 1867 to Murtha McDonald and Elizabeth dean in Gorey. I'm assuming Michael was born in a different year. I also looked at the 1901 census and found a record (see link below) for a 40 year old Murtha McDonald. Not sure if this is the son of your Murtha. The townland he lived in Raheenagurren West is in the Gorey registration district so there may be a connection.
