Looking for information on a William O Brien, born in 1796 who had his marriage to Eliza Doyle registered in 1851 Manchester UK.

They went on to have Childern, i only have two at the moment. An Andrew Byran who was born in 1830, and a William Brien, date unknown.

Andrew Byran would have been my great, great grandfather.

Any kind of certificates, i'm finding it hard to search for UK stuff.

  • You say that William married Eliza Doyle in 1851 but then go on to say they had a son Andrew born in 1830, 20 years earlier. Something doesn’t seem quite right. Can you check the years are correct? (I don’t see any marriage in 1851 so suspect that’s not right).

Statutory registration of births deaths & marriages started in England in 1837 so if the events were before that, there are no certificates to find. However you might find baptism and church marriage records.
