Bridget Richardson born abt. 1863 in Wicklow County married Peter Richardson. He died May 4, 1896 in Laragh East, Derrylossary, Wicklow. I am planning a trip to the area and would be interested in finding out where they might be buried! Bridget Doyle remarried a Patrick Ward in 1898 and she died in 1938 and not sure where she would be buried either. She appears on the 1901 and 1911 census in Laragh East Brockagh Wicklow. Also have not been able to find a birth for Bridget so not sure who her parents are! I believe Peter's parent might be John Richardson and Eleanor McEvoy. I have a pictur of Bridget sitting in front of a cottage on the Ward Farm in Ballard. Thanks for any help or advice yo can offer!

Hi Claddagh,
Only yesterday I was researching my grandmother, Catherine (Kate) Richardson (born 1870 in Laragh), when I made the connection between her, and Peter Richardson, who is her brother. Yes John Richardson and Ellen McEvoy were their parents and I have found 5 more siblings so far! (Anastasia, Joanna, Elizabeth , John and Maria). They lived in Killifin and their parish church was Glendalough. Most of the children were baptised and are in the parish register. There is also a grave record of another Peter Richardson from Killephin ( same place different spelling) who died in 1803 aged 84 who is probably an ancestor, so I guess more recent relatives are likely to be buried at Glendalough too.
Peter Richardson, was born November 1859 and died in 1896, the same year Bridget was born. He was married to Bridget Doyle of Dargle, and they were married in Enniskerry, Dublin, Wicklow in 1881. John Richardson and Ellen McEvoy of Laragh are entered on the record of their marriage (though confusingly all the names are latinised!). After Peters death, Bridget remarried Patrick Ward and Peter's children obviously went to live with them. I had found these young Richardson's in the Laragh area some time ago, but only realised yesterday that they were my fathers first cousins!
I sent a message to my sister updating her on my findings today and she sent me your post this evening, much to my surprise!. I see now that it was written 6 years ago and you have probably found out a lot more about the family which I would love to explore with you. Are you related to Bridget Richardson, if so we are cousins!
I noticed that there was a second family of Richardsons in the same parish in the 19th century, based in Sevenchurches. I have not established whether there is a connection with the Killefin lot or not, do you know?
I have never visited Laragh, but hope you had a good trip. I also hope this message still finds you?
Best wishes
Imeldar

I may be repeating this message as it did not appear to work the last time I tried. Bridget Doyle who married Richardson and the Ward is my great grandmother and my grandmother is Ellen Richatdson. So happy to hear we are related and would love to compare trees! My email is my name ingridgander at g-mail.com
