Hi

My wife is a descendant of John James McCormack who came to Australia from Drumbullion. He was born in 1840 (fairly certain of that date). He joined the New South Wales police force and after leaving that established a successful wheat, sheep and cattle property just soth of Walcha, NSW.

I have tracked down, through Griffiths Valuation, the land that his family leased from Lord Farnham and it can be seen on Google Earth with the same boundaries. There seems to be an abandoned house on the land and I was wondering if anyone has any information as to the present owner so as so determine if indeed it was a residence in the 1800's (see attached images). Block no 12 at the eastern edge of the lough.

Thanks
