I am researching Thomas Kennedy born 1847 and his wife Mary Jordan born 1846 who married in Portumna in 1868. They arrived in USA in 1869/1870. They had two sons before they left. They relocated to Garland, Pennsylvania.
A local man (Aubrey Tully) has told me a Fr. Burke, Parish Priest in Portumna from 1846-1884, married this couple. I will try to find out more. regardsDoloresIRO Office
Thanks Dolores - Mary Jordan 's parents would have been Joseph Jordan b 1820 and Sarah McGrath b 1829. Sarah's mothers name was Fanny b 1812. Mary Jordan had siblings Micheal, Margaret, Elizabeth and Anna.
