My name is Sharon McNeice and I reside in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada. I am visiting Ireland in 2013 if I can locate relatives to connect with. I have information as stated below from the 1901 and 1911 census and personal information.
Would love to hear from anyone with suggestions or information and look forward to visiting Ireland to see beautiful Ireland where my Grandparents were raised and hope to connect with relatives.
Grandfather James Hamilton McNeice born to Samuel and Margaret Ann (nee Hamilton) McNeice. Born in Ballymena in 1886. One of 7 living children. Last known addresses 93 Queen's Street, Ballymena, Previously 11 Tullaghgarby Lower Kells, Antrim. Known siblings, William, Bella, Nellie Barr, Robert John - died in WW1. Samuel (?) I believe Samuel was a brother of James and married Maggie and their first child was Isabella. There last known address was 18 in Tullaghgarby Lower Kells, Antrim....just down from my Grandfather. I believe Samuel was born in 1877 (?) This leaves one living sibling unaccounted for.
Grandmother.Jane Peden Hanlon born in 1885, born to James and Jane Hanlon (nee Peden) last known address 299 Cupar Street, Woodvale Ward, Antrim. Known sibblings, Robert, John and Mary.
The Moore family were also relatives and last known to reside in 1949 at 4 Sagimore Gardens, Bloomfield, Belfast. Joe, Billy Elizabeth born to Sam and Charlotte.
James McNeice and Jane Hanlon (also sometimes called Jennie) were married in Winnipeg, Manitoba on September 7, 1914 . They had two children...Robert John McNeice (my father) and James McNeice, both of whom are deceased.
James, his brother Robert and his mother Magaret Ann immigrated to Winnipeg sometime betwen 1911 and 1914. Other relatives may have come with them as well.
Added Feb 2013: It appears there may have been a last known address for Margaret Ann as 5 Toome Road, Ballymena It may be that she came to Winnipeg then moved back to Ireland.
I have recent information that Ann McNeice may be the sibling I did not have a name for of my Grandfather James Hamilton McNeice. Her birth date was January 14, 1872.
I also noted on some documents the name is spelt McNiece instead of McNeice...(still happens today)

Hi Sharon,
Had you considered contacting the local parish and placing an advertisement in their newsletter? Given that the dates for the people you are searching for are so recent - that may be the best way to go about getting into contact with someone.
Information for Ballymena parish can be found here:

Information for City parishes for belfast can be found here:

Also - if you haven't alrady - could you please fill out the 'Visiting Ireland in 2013' section located on our HOME page?
All the best.
