My Grandfather, Mago Sheehy lived at 1 Glin South in Dingle.  He had a large family.  I found that there were three Sheehy families living on Glin South.  I would love to know how they are connected and where all the children went and who is still living in Ireland.

I can provide many details about the family.  Please let me know if anyone could help me.

    Was your grandmother Mary Leahy?  I have a cousin who's grandfather, Patrick Leahy, had a sister Mary who married a Mago Sheehy.  I believe they lived in Westfield, Massachusetts and then Connecticut.  I am related to Mary through her grandmother Kate Curran, who was also from the Dingle area.  Let me know if I have the right family.

    My grandfather, Mago Sheehy lived at One Glin South in Dingle.  I believe he was one of 16 kids.  He actually married Mary Agnes Curran from Anascaul.    I believe the emigrated to the US before they knew each other.  They married in the US in 1929.  They lived in Somerville, MA for many years.   Since there were so many of them, it is possible that the family is related to yours as well.  I believe there were three Sheehy families all living on Glin South.  I have trace Thomas Sheehy's family to the US as well.  They lived in Lawrence, MA.  If you would like to compare notes on our families, please let me know.  Thank you!

    My Mago Sheehy married Mary Leahy in 1894 in Westfield Massachusetts.  They were both born in Ireland, but he was living in Waterbury CT at the time they married.  I wonder if he may have been the uncle of your Mago.  His parents were James Sheehy and Mary Kennedy.  His marriage in Massachusetts is listed as Sheehan and they are listed as Sheehan in the census, but his baptismal record with the same parents is definitely Sheehy. 

    Would love to compare notes.  Do you belong to Tiara? (The Irish Ancestral Research Association).
