I am seeking any information that may be known about my Great Great Great Grandmother.
My Maternal Line goes as follows:
Sozime Caissie Mary Clark [Welch/Walsh/Welsh] --- John Clark
| |
Jaddus Caissie Mary A Spring [Clark] ---- John Spring
| |
Marcel Caissie ------------------------------------- Mary F. Caissie [Spring]
| |
Rita Caissie (Ainsworth)
Marcel Caissie ----- (ancesters of herbert ainsworth unknown)
| |
Rita Caissie (Ainsworth) ----- Herbert Ainsworth
|
Rita Ainsworth---- Chris Driesse
|
April Driesse (Me)
So This is not confusing to anyone...
Herbert Ainsworth was married to Rita Caissie.
Rita Caissie's mother was Mary F. Caissie [Spring]
Mary F. Caissie [Springs] parents were Mary A. Spring [Clark] and John Spring.
Mary A. Spring [Clark] Parents were Mary Clark [Welch/Walsh/Welsh] and John Clark.
So what I am seeking is information on the Spring -- Clark -- Welch/Walsh/Welch line
Mary F. Caissie was born 3/7/1918 and died 6/1/1995. Can not find a record of marriage between she and Marcel.
I did, however, find a record of her on a NY Passenger List, from when she was 6 years old with the following information:
New York Passenger List

Mary A. Spring [Clark] was born in approx. 1896 in South Ireland. Died 9-10-1944. Married John Spring on 5/8/1917.
I found information on her husband, John Spring's emigration to the US:
Boston Passenger and Crew Lists, 1820-1943

Arrival Date: 17 May 1913
Age: 22
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1891
Gender: Male
Ethnic Background: Irish
Port of Departure: Queenstown, Ireland

Port of Arrival: Boston, Massachusetts
Friend's Name: Jesse Spring

Birthplace: Castlewaine, Ireland
I found the name of Mary A. Spring [Clark] parents on a marriage certificate.
The certificate lists her parents name as John Clark and Mary Walsh.
I could not find anything farther back.
Anything you can find, is appreciated. I intend on paying for a vital record search, but before I do that, figured I would give this some luck.
Thanks.

Hi
Thank you for your message.
The Castlewaine listed on the passenger list may actually be Castlemaine - a small town in County Kerry...
You can Browse information about County Kerry and its resources here: http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/browse/counties/munster/index_ke.htm
A search for the surname SPRING indicated only 53 households in the mid 19th century - the bulk of which were located in Kerry - http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/surname/index.cfm?fuseaction=Go.&Use…
