My paternal Great Great Grandparents were William Egan and Mary O'Brien who married in Youghal about 1820. William died young leaving Mary with young children. We know of Mathew, William (my Great Grandfather) and two daughters. There may have been at least two others. After William's death Mary remarried Unknown Cussen and went on to have more children. William,who married Ann Donoghue in Dromcholliher and two sisters came to Australia in the 1850's and we believe Mathew went to America. Other than this we have no other information regarding Mathew.
William who married Mary O'Brien was the son of Mathew Egan and Unknown McCarthy.
Would love it if any one hs any knowledge of this family.
