My grandmother (paternal) came from Drogheda on the Boyne and must have been born between 1880 and 1895.
She married a journalist (Saturday Evening Post) who was born and based in Holland but worked internationally. He was my Paternal grandfather (Jan Pieter Hendrik {or Henderik} Reijers {or Reyers})
Their marriage was celebrated (possibly as a semi-official function) in New York in about 1910.
She died in the Netherlands in about 1950-53.
I would like to trace her (origin and relationships with other members of the Smullen family) with a view to applying for Irish Citizenship.
I currently live in the UK, in Lincoln and am 65 years old.

Do you have any other inforamtion on your grandmother that you can share? Information such as forename, religious denomination, parent/sibling names are all important.
Given the date range for your grandmothers birth, it is very possible that you may find record of her and her family in the 1901 and 1911 census records. These are now searchable online and can give lots of useful information. You can find them here:

You can also search for information on the family in Church records. Most Catholic records are held locally. One website which may be of help to you is the irishtimes. Here, they give an overview of what records are available in specific parishes. Drogheda is actually divided into two Roman Catholic parishes:
(1) Drogheda St. Peters. Available records can be seen here:
(2) Drogheda St. Mary's. Available records can be seen here:

You may also want to check for the family name in Griffith's Valuation. This is a property valuation that was carried out in Ireland betwen 1848 and 1864. Although it does not offer any genealogical information, it can be used to tie a person to a specific location. You can search the Valuation here:
