I am trying to find out if a Michael Donnellan dob 10/28/1820 in this parish and maybe then marrying Mary Kelly in DonaghPatrick Parish in 1845 is my gggrandfather. I am trying to find any information I can on him. My main focus is to see if he had a daughter Mary born around 1853 or a sister Bridget. Any information on where I can go or what I can do I would appreciate

Hi Pam,
Brian Mitchell's Irish Churches and Graveyards shows the names of towns and townlands with churches:
- - Cosmona townland has a Roman Catholic Church
- - Loughrea town has a Roman Catholic Church at Abbey Lane (Street) with a graveyard
- - Loughrea town has a Roman Catholic Church at Bride Street
- - Loughrea town has an Established Church (Church of Ireland on Church Lane (Street) with a graveyard
- - St Laurencesfield townland has a graveyard only.
NOTE: Some of these churches may no longer be there.
On the Irish Times Ancestors site, you can find RC Parish maps and info about surnames and even find where surnames intersect (for fee). See: http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/index.htm
See: http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/fuses/rcparishmaps/index.cfm?fuseaction=showidrecords&CityCounty=Galway&CityCounty=East Galway&parish=Loughrea&churchid=336 for the references to the baptisms and marriages that have been filmed in Loughrea Parish. They do go from about 1827 through 1880. You can find these at the National Library in Dublin, see http://www.nli.ie/ or at the Family History Library in SLC,Utah or you can order a short term loan of the film to any Family History Center. See: www.familysearch.org
There are 20 KELLY and 3 Donnellan households here (Loughrea Parish) in 1855. Kelly is among the top surnames found in this area.
Hope that helps,
Best wishes,
