Looking for info on Davitts, Devitts in Co. Westmeath

Do you know much about their emigration? The dates, the reasonwhy they left, who they may have travelled with?..etc..Generally more information was given atthe port of arrival rather than the port of departure. Yes, I would appreciate that. That is supposedly where my g,grandfather was from so it makes sense, although I don't really have the resources to find a contact from where I'm at.
