Mr Doolan
Thank you very much for sharing your information. Do you have a specific query that we can help you with?
Kind regards, Genealogy Support

Thankyou for reply.I would appreciate any assistance you can offer to locate Marriage and birth records of this Family.
In the 1855 Griffiths Valuation under the 'D' surname there are only 12 Doolan entries. Would this record represent all of the Doolans residing in County Clare at that time? Can you advise of any other availble record that may assist in locating the B & M data?
I have approached the Corofin Heritage centre but the 425 Euros up front is beyond my budget.
Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards

Dear Leo:
Many thanks for your query. My best advice to you is to go into the Clare County Library website at www.clarecountylibrary.ie/genealogy. There you will be able to view the results of the Griffith's Valuation and the Tithe Applotment Books. I note that you have done some research with regard to the 12 families with the Doolan surname in Griffith's Valuation. If you can list where they are, that might be of some help with regard to obtaining some birth and/or marriage information.
For the record here in Tulla, the births and marriages registers start in 1819. Please let me know if you need any further assistance.
Jane.

at your suggestion i have searched the tithe 1823-1837 applotment books and found a short list of doolans as follows:--
John Doolan ballinphunta Killinaboy
James doolan garrynafinchoage Killinaboy
Simon Doolan inchiquin pound division Killinaboy
Mich'l ' ' ' '
Patrick Doolan Commons South Killinaboy
the 1885 Griffiths Valuation listing of Doolans shows 7 out of the 12 recorded also being located in Killinaboy parish.
can you advise if there are any Births Marriage records available for the above Parish and Townlands.

Hi Leo:
I will try to find that information out for you. I am meeting some fellow parish admins here in County Clare on Monday night and I will ask them. I may have an email address for you after that.

Hi Jane
since our last contact I have been in touch with Killinaboy Parish. I have had a quick and informative response from James McNamara however I have lost the copy of my inquiry and his response.
Can you some how organise James to resend from your end?
Sorry but my computer skills are a little bit wanting.
Regards
