I am looking for the parish records for my mam and dad Michael Lavery and Mary Scanlon. Dad was born 27th January 1931 aned lived on Balkan Street and mam was born on 9th December 1932 and lived on Cyprus Street. Any help would be gratefully received.

You do not mention if your Laverys and Scanlons were Catholic or Anglican?
You can see what Catholic parish records are available for Belfast on the Irish Times website. It seems that these records only go as far as 1900.
For information on Church of Ireland records check http://ireland.anglican.org/about/42 and http://www.nationalarchives.ie/.
Given the dates of Michael and Mary?s births you should be able to find their birth records in the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland. Here is a link to their website:
