I am looking for the parents of James Cheney born in Cork, Ireland about 1700. He moved to Virginia, USA before 1730 where he married Mary Johnson Young. Children are William 1734, George 1736, John 1740, Baley 1750, and George 1752. I don't know if he had any siblings.

You're so lucky to have family history going back that far. Unfortunately catholic records only started to be kept about 1800 or so and the protestant records go back another few years before that. So I can't see where you will find birth records for that timeframe.
You could try the hearth rolls??? Type in" hearth rolls cork " into your search engine and that should tell you where they can be accessed. That's the only suggestion that I have to make, but maybe someone else may see your post and have another idea,
