I live in Canada.  My relative was George Freeborn.

He was born approximately 1847 in Ireland.

He married Margaret Coulter in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada on 17 Apr, 1869.

I have successfully traced Margaret along with her siblings and parents Andrew and Isabel Coulter to Donegal through their ship immigration record.

However, I am having trouble connecting George Freeborn to his parents.  His marriage certificate lists them as James and Jane Freeborn.

There is a James Freeborn and Jane Coulter listed as having been married 25 July, 1841 at St. John's Church, Inver Parish (Doorin Point), County Donegal.

I believe these are his parents but can't find proof that it is the correct connection.

First and foremost, I would be ever so grateful if that link could be confirmed.

Additionally, if there is any other further history on these family lines that is available further into the past, that would be appreciated although not necessary if difficult.

I would really like to figure out George most of all.

Thank you!
