Just wondering if there are members of the great name "Whan" on here.

Hi,
My name is Jeanette and I'm a volunteer for IrelandXO
Took a quick look at the 1911 census and the are 90 Whans listed.http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search/results.jsp?census_year=1911&surname=whan&exact=&firstname=&county=&townland=&ded=&age=&sex=&relationToHead=&religion=&education=&occupation=&marriageStatus=&marriageYears=&childrenBorn=&childrenLiving=&birthplace=&language=&deafdumb=&search=Search&sort=&pageSize=100
There are only a total of 9 Whans listed at
http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/surname/index.cfm?Surname=whan&fuseaction=Go.
This runs off of the Griffiths Valuation http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation
and does not list all persons by that last name, only those in a property.
I do not know if you are looking for ancestors or descendants and which locality they might be from, but thought this interesting. Are you researching?
Hope this helps, Jeanette

Hi Jeanette!
That first link is really helpful. Thank you!
Just curious to see who's about really. I've traced the family tree back to my grea great grandparents but reached a dead end after that.
