Information for Therese Mullarvey who is looking for information on Patrick and Thomas Mullavey convicted in Cavan for larceny, sentenced to 7 years, sent to Australia as convicts in 1852, arrived Tasmania 1853 aboard Lord Auckland., Patrick was my grandfather's grandfather. After arriving in VDL he served as constable in Launceston, worked on farm for W M Dean at Westbury Tas, Granted ticket of Leave 1854 , Pardon certified 1955, Married Catherine Nolan in 1856 Moved to Victorian possibly 1863/4
His son Thomas changed his name from Mullavey to Mullarvey and was the father of my Grandfather William Mullarvey Mulwala NSW. more info if required

Thank you for your information, I didn't know any of this. Patrick was my great grandfather. His son Patrick James was my grandfather. I have been told all Patrick's (convict) photo's were burnt because the lady thought no one would ever be interested. Tragedy!!!!!
