I am trying to trace my Irish Ancestry, my 4X Great Grandmother was Catherine O Connell born Limerick approx 1834. She left Ireland possibly with her Father Cornelius O Connell and her Mother in the 1840's for London where she settled and married Frederick Cook in 1854. Cornelius is a Farmer on her marriage certificate. I have no more information although one of her daughters Maryanne Cook became a nun in London with The Good Shepherd Convent. I believe they were Catholic and Dairy farmers. If anyone can help, please do. there is a Cornelius OConnell who ends up in USA and marries there (As a widower?) a Catherine Trainor, his photograph very much resembles my Grandmothers family. Any help would be gratefully received, thank you. Wendy.

Hi Wendy,
I searched births/baptisms on www.rootsireland.ie for Catherine O'Connell father Cornelius O'Connell Limerick 1834 + / - 6 years and got 1 match - attached (Connell).
If you purchase the record it will give you the mother's name and the parish the baptism was done in.
I also searched for Cornelius O'Connell born in Limerick 1810 + / - 10 years and got 1 match - 1814 (Connell).
Griffiths Valuation was done in Limerick in 1850-52 and there are 2 Cornelius O'Connells listed in Rathkeale (attached). Griffiths is on www.askaboutireland.ie and is free to search.
Once you get the mother's name you could search on rootsireland for siblings.
Best regards
