Hi my name is Lori and I live in Columbia, MO, USA.

We are decendents of Charles Eckles. A cousin of mine made a thorough family history book in 1978. The first entry is :

Charles Eckles, Born: around 1715. Resided: probably part of his life in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Died: 1791

He had a son Nathaniel born October 2, 1744 in Belfast. His third son. Nathaniel is registered in the military records of Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, USA.

Many Eckles came generations ago to central Missouri, USA, where many of us still reside.

My grandfather was also named Charles Eckles. He is now deceased. He was born in Missouri in 1918. He had 12 brothers and sisters, most of whom lived in central Missouri their entire lives, and still live there.

I am looking for documentation showing that William and Hannah are indeed the parents of Charles.   I am a descendant of Edward, Charles' brother, who went south to Virginia.  I have corresponded with several individuals who have made statements as to Charles' parentage, but no one could produce actual documentation.  In the many geneaology websites, there are several different set of parents linked to Charles.
