I am looking for Catherine Byrne, born (per 1901 census) in Wicklow. She married Patrick Connell (I have no information about him). They owned a pub in Cork Street, Dublin. Their children (all born in Dolphin's Barn) were, or included, John (born 1855), who owned a pub at 81 Cork Street, James (born 1858), Mary Elizabeth (born 1860, later married Joseph Hatch of 6 Lower Leeson Street & Drimnagh Castle), Margaret (born 1865), Terence, born 1871, and Catherine.

This has been an interesting search!
There are 14 Catherine Byrnes born/baptised in Wicklow in 1830 years on rootsireland.ie!
The only Wicklow birth in the public member trees for Catherine is 1830 (Lynch tree) but they have her marrying in Wexford in 1781!! to James Patrick Linch!
I couldn't find her marriage record to Patrick Connell 1850+ - 5 years on rootsireland.ie so tried searching for Catherine Byrne and Patrick without Connell and got 2 matches in Dublin and 3 in Wicklow!
I also had mixed results searching for the children on rootsireland.ie - tried the first names with father Patrick Connell but got nothing so tried with mother Catherine Byrne and father Patrick (no Connell) got John 1855 surname Doyle, nothing for James, Mary was surname Baird, Margaret Beard and 1872 + - 5 and got Esmond Heeney Clarke Kelly and Rooney!!
There are 944 Byrnes in Wicklow in the Tithe Applotments 1823-27.
Sorry Mary - hopefully one of the Wicklow experts will do much better than I have!
