Looking for cousins in the Mountcharles area.  My husband, Kevin Dorrian, is first generation American.  His father was Gerard Dorrian, s/o Daniel Dorrian (s/o Patrick J Dorrian & Maggie McGettigan) and Anne Boyle (d/o Hugh Boyle & Ellen Canning).  Martha Boyle Brennan of Mountcharles (recently deceased) was Annie Boyle's sister.  My husband's grandfather, Dan Dorrian, once operated the pub which is now doing business as The Village Tavern Restaurant.  I have been doing my best to trace Kevin's ancestry; however, it is difficult from this side of the pond!  Does anyone have information on these families?

    I believe these are the 1901 and 1911 census records for the Dorrian family. Margaret died between 1901 and 1911. I also found the civil marriage index record for the 1877 marriage between Patrick and Margaret. If you get a copy of this record from the GRO, it will show the names of the fathers of the bride and groom and where they lived. www.groireland.ie  for GRO. You will be redirected to a new web site. Copies cost around 4 euros. Use this link http://www.welfare.ie/en/Pages/Apply-for-Certificates.aspx Hit the link for marriages in English. A screen will come up asking for User Name and Password. Cancel out and you should get the correct form. Fill out the form and provide the quarter/year of marriage, registration district and the volume and page number ( 7 and 226). You can ask them to e-mail the copy back.

    Martha Boyle Brennan is my great grandmother, my grandfather is her son Hugo Brennan. I believe my grandfather and his 4 siblings would be cousins of your husband. I know you probably would not see this because it was posted in 2013 but i really hime you see this & can reply!! it's amazing i google my great grandmothers name and find this :)
