Hi, I saw that you've mentioned Edward Blake I know for sure that their was one in our family, he immigrated to the states but we don't where his point of entry was, my grandfather Edward Morgan Blake said that he was a stolaway on a ship supposedly headed for New York City but landed in Charleston South Carolina, New York is most likely where he got off. We managed to find that he was born 1843 in Dublin Ireland and was thrown in jail at the age of 15 for throwing a rock, no really that's what we found. The name of the jail is Brightwall prison, if the math is right he was imprisoned in 1857. Hope this helps you!
