Birth/marrigae/death record

I located the 1901 and 1911 census records for the Campbell family. I located a possible birth index record for Mary Campbell in the Donegal registration district. I was unable to locate a marriage index record. I also located possible death index records for her parents. If you are interested in getting copies of any of these records, let me know and I'll explain the process.

Thank you so much for the information.  I had found the 1901 Irish Census, but for some reason not the 1911.  Awesome!

I have a question on the census.  What exactly is this telling me:   Residents of a house 7 in Drumard (Eanymore, Donegal).   If I could understand this, it may help in searching.

Yes, I would be intersted in viewing or getting birth/death/marriage records.  You cannot know how excited this makes me!  I had a feeling I was on the right track with the 1901 census, but was still not sure.

Drumard is a 254 acre townland in Inver civil parish. In 1901 there were 18 homes/houses in the townland including one unoccupied dwelling. The Campbells had one of the larger houses in the townland. The numbering process i.e. house 7 is random. The constable who picked up the census returns went from house to house and the Campbell house was the 7th visited out of the 18. The census also has information on the number of outbuildings each house had. Again, the Campbell household had more outbuilding than the average including a stable. http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/reels/nai000652201/

To get copies of birth, marriage or death records, you have to contact the General Register Office (GRO). Go to this link http://www.welfare.ie/en/Pages/Apply-for-Certificates.aspx There is a link in the middle of the page for birth record in English. Hit that link. You may get a screen asking for a User name and Password. Hit cancel and the birth form should come up. Print the form and compelte the info requested. Also provide the info from the index record above for Mary Campbell. January-march 1887 quarter, Donegal registration district and Volume 2, page 39. I can't guarantee that this is the record for your Mary but since she was 14 in 1901, she was likely born in 1886 or 1887. Also, Drumard is located in the Donegal registration district. Make sure you ask for a copy of the record and not a certificate. A copy costs around 4 euros. You can also ask GRO to e-mail the copy to you. Regarding the death index records for Charles and Bell, I'm not sure which of those records pertains to them based on their ages in the 1901 census. I can get you the index details for any or all of the 7 possibilities. Let me know what questions you have.

Thank you so much for the information.  I wil search and see what I can find.  I was in Ireland in the fall of 2012 and was in Frosses and Mount Charles( where my great grandfather William Byrne was from)  and I wish I had this information then.  I am planning on going back this August and now have more to use to do searches and just walk around.

If I have any more  questions am confused on what things mean, I will surely post a message.
