I would appreciate any information on my great-great grandmother, Anna Markey who was born in County Cavan in 1828. Anna's known siblings were John O. Markey and James Markey. There were also two Markey sisters who went to VanDiemen's Land (Tasmania), and perhaps two additional brothers. Anna arrived in Baltimore, Maryland around 1850 and married Peter McGlinchey in Wilmington, Delaware in 1855. I would like to learn of Anna's townland and parish. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I looked at Roots Ireland www.rootsireland.ie to see if they had a baptismal record for Anne. The only record in Co. Cavan was an Anne Marky baptized in 1832. Without knowing her parents names, I could not determine if this was your Anne. Roots is a pay site to view records although they currently have a 40% off special. You may want to register and determine if you want to look at this record. You can also look for her siblings.
