I am in search formy fathers ancesters. Ireally do not know much about them. What i do know is, my father's name was William George Carrigan Jr. Therefore my grandfather would be Sr. I know my father was born in Maryland in 1920's. I know his family came from Ireland and not so much else. My parents were divorced when i was small, and both have been deceased a long time. As i dig into this more imight be able to post more clues. My father had at least two sisters that i know of, both long gone now . One was Ethel, the other was Macy. Thank you.

There are some public member trees on ancestry.com that have William George Carrigan born 19 July 1924 Washington DC died 15 Jan 1991 Baltimore Maryland
Parents William George & Edna Amelia Holley; William George born 1881 Baltimore Maryland
Parents Charles F born 1859 Maryland & Mary E
I assume it would be Charles's father who was born in Ireland.
I had a look on www.rootsireland.ie/ for Carrigan births 1835 + - 5 years in Sligo and got 4 matches:
Maria 1834 James 1837 & Hugh 1838 all CORRIGAN and Winnifred Kerrican 1831
You might want to have a look on ancestry.com and contact the tree owners.
