My g-g-grandmother was Agnes Cecilia Doyle, born August 1843 in County Wexford. Her parents were John and Anne Doyle. I have confirmed that she had two sisters: Anna Doyle, born 24 July 1836 in County Wexford, and Martha Doyle, born 1839 in County Wexford. She may also have had another sister, Bridget Doyle, born 1838, and a brother, Michael J. Doyle, born 1849.
Agnes Cecilia Doyle came to America in 1850s, and her parents and siblings also came to America. From at least 1860, the Doyles are documented as living and working in Baltimore, Maryland.
Parents John and Anne Doyle, sisters Anna (Doyle) Poole, Martha Doyle, and Agnes Cecilia (Doyle) Mattare are all buried in a family plot in Baltimore, Maryland. The headstone of Anna (Doyle) Poole states that she was "Born in County Wexford, Ireland" and the headstone of Martha Doyle states that she was "A native of County Wexford, Ireland."
I am searching for the birthplace of my g-g-grandmother Agnes Cecilia Doyle, and the place in which the Doyles lived before they left Ireland for America. I would like to return to Wexford to visit these locations (I was in County Wexford before I knew I had an Irish g-g-grandmother!).
Any help is, or ideas are, greatly appreciated!

Hi Jacqueline,
Thanks for your message.
You could try searching online church records. If you can find one pertaining to your family it will give you the parish. However please note that there is no complete collection of records available online and most are still held locally:
www.familysearch.org has a huge database of genealogical records including some church records for Ireland.
www.rootsireland.ie have a large collection of Irish Church records, however you have to pay to use this site.
Kind regards,
