I am looking for information on a Susan (Eileen) Lynch who was from Castlepollard, Co. Westmeath. She was born circa 1892-196 and her father's name was Philip Lynch, a farmer. She also had a sister Rose A who was born circa 1885. Not sure what jurisdiction Castlepollard comes under within Westmeath as it is not listed on this website's list of parishes. Can find no civil registration birth record for her, and baptism records for Castlepollard at NLI only go as far as 1880. She and her sister Rose A went to UK and she married a man named Cecil Amey in London around 1921. Can anyone help with this?

I live about 10 miles from castlepollard. A very good friend of mine by the Name of Michael Conlon would have all the records for the castlepollard area, I will show him your letter in the hope he can put a conection or some light on your people, I will get back to you next week all going well

Many thanks for your message re Susan (Eileen) Lynch, Castlepollard. That would be great if your friend had any information on these people, as the parish records at NLI only go up as far as 1880, before she was born, I could not find a civil birth record for her. Apparently they were a large family and she is not on the UK 1901/1911 census, and can't find her on the Irish census, of course she could have changed her name!!

Hi my name is Simon Geraghty and my parents were Mary(Mollie)Geraghty nee Connor and my Father was William(Willie or Bill) Geraghty they lived in Kiltoom, Coolure,Westmeath before emigrating to London England in 1953. In May I will be going to Ireland to try and locate more records but have no idea where to locate the records maybe Castlepollard? My mothers parents her father died when she was 1 year old he was James Connor of 28 Killtoom,Coolure born around 1871 age 34 in the 1911 census but as he died a year after my mother was born (1914) I have no more details on him!!My mothers/mother married again not sure when and she married a Joe Smith who I understand worked as did her first husband on the Tullynally Estate. My father worked for Mullalys bakery in Mullingar and he was originaly from Granard, Longford and as I understand he was (though it was frowned upon) a Faith Healer.
