My Great Grandparents were John Collins and Honor Moore. They were born about 1840-1845, and most likely married about 1870. While they lived in Pollshack, their marriage was registered in Glenamaddy. They died in Pollshask in the early 1900s. With the exception of Hugh Collins, their son, all of their other children (Bridget, Delia, Thomas, Mary, Margaret (Maggie), and Honor (Nora)) emigrated to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, in the late 1800s.
I am hoping that someone knows the names of the parents of the above John Collins and/or Honor Moore.
Thank you, in advance, for any information you might be able to impart.
Sincerely...Mike Amoroso, Battle Ground, Washington, USA

There?s a marriage between John Collins & Honor Moore registered in Glenamaddy 1870, volume 9 page 141. If you order a copy of that you should get both fathers names, as well as other information to trace the families back. (Tradition was to marry in the bride?s church so her baptism, siblings and parents names could be in that parish records).
Rootsireland may have a transcript or you can order a photocopy of the certificate from GRO Roscommon for ?4.

You have to download and print off the form. Then either post or fax it back to them. You can?t e-mail it to them. However if you want them to e-mail the cert to back to you, they will do that, so tick the relevant box.
Put the reference details on the form (anywhere). Don?t worry about leaving some boxes blank. As long as GRO have the location, name(s), year, quarter (where there is one), volume and page number they should find it.

Thank you so very much for your reply and the possible marriage data. Additionally, I appreciate that you took the time to provide such a detailed set of instructions on how to acquire the associated record. I will, most certainly, pursue this lead.
