Hi Everyone,
I am interested in finding if any connections to my family still exist there. My Great Grand Father and Mother, Michael Shipton and Maggie Lynch emigrated to Australia in the late 1800s. There are a heap of us here now, mainly in Queensland. I would love to here from someone.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out and apologies for the delay in getting back to you.
I had a quick look on rootsireland.ie and there is one baptism record for a Michael Shipton in 1865 in Co. Sligo. As this is a subscription site, I am limited in what I can see. As there is only one record it might be a good idea to have a look. Do you have this information already?
The latest available information online is the 1911 Census but there are no Shipton entries there. A Pat Shipton is listed in 1901 in the Workhouse. He is a widower:
