I have two great, great grandfathers born in Dublin in the 1800's. McCabe may be part of my family history also. My family is visiting Ireland soon and I am interested in my family history.

Hi Linda
I have had quite a search for McNurlins in Ireland but have not had much success I'm afraid
There was only 1 record on www.rootsireland.ie/ for a McNurlin in any county and that was a marriage of William McNurlin in 1833 in DERRY
However when the name is spelt McNErlin there are lots more records with 66 of 77 birth/baptisms from Derry nad none in Dublin
There are some McNerlin records from Ellis Island entries to USA
I couldn't find any McNerlin - McCabe marriages
There are none of either spelling in the irish phone book, Griffiths Valuation, Tithe Applotments, 1901 & 1911 Irish Census or ancestry
The Mc implies a Scottish beginning and an Ulster county in Ireland so Derry could be their original area. Perhaps you could supply a few first names & birth years so a more accurate search could be done
