I am desperate to find the family of Peter Dempsey b1820 Wexford a farmer then his son Peter Dempsey born around 1858 who was a tailor who married a Mary Doyle. Peter b1858 had sisters Mary, Elizabeth, Catherine and Bridget who I believe ran a pub on Monck Street Wexford which I believe is still there today. I have been looking for years for this family so if anyone can help or tell me where I may get more information that would be wonderful.

Hi Gill
There is a Peter Dempsey in the Tithe Applotments (free online) 1833 in Oulart Meelnaugh Wexford
www.rootsireland.ie/ (pay site) has a baptism record of Peter Dempsey in Wexford but it is 1814; parish is Enniscorthy RC. If you purchase the record it MAY have his 1 or both parents' names

You might want to have a look for the later family members there
