Hello, I am new to this site.
Does anyone know if there is any photographs of my family's house in Tievenanass, Mountain Lodge? The farm house still belonged to my relation Bernard "Barney" Ward until the 1930s. The house and land was sold to Owen McCabe and then the land was sold to Mr James Lynch in the early 1970s. I have visited the site but the house is no longer there. In front of the field, where the house was, I am told is called Ward's Meadow.
Any information would be welcome.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out and apologies for the delay in getting back to you. The only way I can think of finding such a photo (beyond a family member seeing this) would be if a local historical society had published a book or annual magazine. Sometimes, they are the best source for this type of query. There are archive sources that are available in the National Library but for something this specific this could be your best bet. If you contact the Local Studies Section of Cavan Library they would have information we don?t, as we don't as yet have a volunteer in the above parish.
