Hi I am looking for any information on McCool ancestors. My grandfather Alexander McCool was born in (roughly) 1922 in Belfast and was the son of Alexander McCool (born about 1895, and son of Alexander and Theresa McKeown) and Margaret Mulholland (no details known, other than her father was Hugh Mulholland). I believe my grandfathers family were related to a family with the surname Macavoy. Many thanks

Alexander McCool married Theresa McKeown on 25th July 1876 in Belfast. What may be his death was registered in Belfast on 28.4.1887, aged 57.
This looks to be their son Alexander in 1911. The relationship to the McEvoy family that you refer to seems to arise from the fact that Alexander?s sister has married a McEvoy, on 18.10.1905 in Belfast.
