Can anyone help me find my ancestors? They were from Down County,Kilkeel Parish.Supposed to be several that came to America and settled in New jersey.Joses Dorris was one name that was in Ireland.

If you go to Family Search (free site and search for Dorris born in Ireland you'll get 611 matches.
You then trawl through the 31 pages and find 4 records which mention New Jersey which are:
William 1705 & 1715; John 1737 and Mary 1742However I could not find any of them on www.rootsireland.ie/
I couldn't find any Dorris records on PRONI or in the Tithe Applotments or in the Irish phone book.
On ancestry I searched public member trees for William Dorris born co Down 1705 and got 363 matches so this look like your best bet.

William is my 3 times great geandfather.our records say he was born in County down, kilkeel parish in 1705.that his father was either William or joses dorris.
