Alexander Hoy - b. 10 March 1858 Belfast Ireland (maybe Antrim)
Immigration and arrival to Canada - 9 July 1972 at age 14
Trying to track down parents names or any other information as to why he left Londonderry at the age of 14. Doesn't look like he was traveling with anyone he knew.
I am lost at this point as to his parents names, deaths that may have occurred which led to his immigration and not sure of parish either.
Any help would be appreciated.

I couldn't find his birth/baptism record on www.rootsireland.ie/ (subscription site).
You might try genidirect.uk and findmypadtireland but both require credit.

I haven't been able to locate a birth record either but haven't tried genidirect.uk so will follow up on that one. Thanks for the help.
