We are presently living in the USA. We can trace our Irish roots back to Hugh Weyburne married to Ellen Mack in the early 18800's. We know nothing else about our Irish roots and are trying to get more information. Any help would be appreciated. Please post here and to dweyburne@gmail.com.
Thanks,

David:
The 1854 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Hacketstown civil parish shows an Ellen Weyburne in Knockanooker Upper townland. Not sure how she is related to Hugh.

I checked the civil marriage index records and Roots Ireland and could not locate a marriage record for Hugh and Ellen. I was also unable to locate a baptismal record for Hugh.
Any other information?

David,
This appears to be the only Weyburne (and variant spelling) household in Wicklow in the 1901 census. Blackrock is just beside Knockanooker and so they could be connected to the family Roger has identified there. Agriculturla labourers did tend to move around a fair bit.
